I wish I was game enough to explore the real authenticity of Turkish Cuisine as
the Camel Sausage, Veal Liver sounded so fascinating. However we opted for the $88 Feast which is the perfect assembly showcase of their definitive Turkish menu. Perfect timing between the 9 dishes presented with all service staff working in unison.
A second visit was inevitable with it’s unmatchable lunch experience by the water enjoying a five-course feast mezes and sweet treats. Think pasha meze with creamy goat’s cheese and slivered pistachio; slow cooked octopus with curly peppers and heirloom tomatoes; and Ottoman donuts with pistachio ice cream. The menu included traditional simits (sesame ring pastry); grilled eggplant with burnt yoghurt, pomegranate and wild rice; and traditional Köfte (beef meatballs) with white bean piyaz (salad) and roasted peppers.
The kitchen dances to its own tune flirtatiously delivering remnants of calamari dolma reimagined with pistachio and barberries and complemented with avocado ganush.
