bite band and jester with logoCalling all foodies – it’s time to indelibly ink Friday March 1 and Saturday March 2 in your diaries because that’s the weekend Bite Markets at North Harbour will officially open.  A custom-designed fully-fenced 5,000sqm dining precinct of shipping containers, it’s set to be an explosion of 40 flavour makers, creating the biggest food adventure in Brisbane’s North side with dishes under $15!

“BITE represents a new hub for local food creators and food lovers.  At home in the fastest growing region of Australia in the Moreton Bay region, we are thrilled to announce that BITE Markets will open on Friday, March 1. BITERS are set for a culinary journey around the globe with dishes from Malaysia to Spain, Italy to Japan, Tibet to Turkey and everywhere in between, all created on-site. Of course, everyone is dedicated to championing local produce.” says BITE Founder, renowned caterer and food reator, Tom Burke.

Mini Dutch Pancakes – Poffertjes

Poffertjes – they may be hard to pronounce but they are certainly easy to eat! These freshly cooked mini Dutch style poffertjes - strawberrypancakes are served with melted butter, icing sugar and maple syrup or freshly squeezed lemon.

Must Try: Mix things up a bit with toppings of Nutella & fresh banana. Beware, you WILL become addicted.


Tibetan Momo Café
Both vegans and carnivores are catered for with these handcrafted Tibetan Momo (steamed dumplings). Available with a range of fillings, the Momo are made fresh onsite, beside other Tibetan dishes, like Shallot Pancakes!

Must Try: Banana Spring Roll (think crispy flaky pastry with a delicious sweet centre!) Note: one BITE may lead to an altered state of mind!


MITTE Berlin Street Food
With a mum with the surname ‘Gomersbach’… (try saying that 3 times after a German stein), and a passion for food, Mount Mee’s Suzanne Lang was always destined to celebrate her culinary heritage, and we are so thankful … introducing Mitte Berlin Street Food, exclusive to Bite Markets at North Harbour. The tasty brainchild of Suzanne and Brett Lang, Moreton Bay region locals who launched their first street food stalls when they lived in New York in 2010,Mitte is a tribute to their favourite food borough in Berlin of the same name…. think crispy chips covered in mayonnaise served in a paper cone, freshly baked pretzels, ‘curry wurst’ (smoked sausage served with fries and slathered in curry sauce), home-made pickles, Oma’s famous potato salad, bratwurst, chilli knackwurst and cheese kransky, home-made rolls, sensational sauerkraut and onions. And apple strudels!

Zoe’s Brownies
Kallangur local, Teegan Kuenz, has been baking for five years and has recently added four new flavours to the already impressive range she has in the stable under the moniker, Zoe’s Brownies. At BITE she will be serving her brownies as a dessert plate with ice cream and other delicious sides. There will be 4 different plate options as well as her famous wrapped take-home brownies. Teegan caters for gluten free & dairy free requirements and has just introduced a vegan recipe.

Must Try:   There are just too many options to choose from – Turkish Delight, Cookies & Cream, Rocky Road, Red Velvet, Snickers, Nutella, Salted Caramel! Stretchy pants recommended!

Donut Kitchen

Nude Juice
Not just juice, but also a range of Fruit Salad Bowls, Veg Salad Bowls & smoothies all starring fresh local produce (most from the Sunshine Coast region) and no added sugar! Mr Bunz
With three ex-fine dining chefs at the helm, it’s no wonder Mr Bunz has been making culinary waves all over Brisbane with its signature bao buns and South East Asian-inspired meals. At BITE Markets, Brisbane’s northside will have the opportunity to sample the famed range which also includes martabak (flat bread), gado-gado (Indonesian salad), Pempek (fish cakes) and ayam bakar (Indonesian grilled chicken).mr bunz - mixed baoMust Try: Tahu Isi (stuffed, battered and deep-fried tofu puffs). Ice Tea Man
Served in refillable mason jars (with the option to upgrade to reusable metal straw), these iced teas are the perfect thirst-quenchers on a balmy Queensland evening. Flavours include, Raspberry, Peach, Mojito & Vintage Lemon Iced Teas as well as Aqua Fresca (fresh juice, fruit and water mix). For the cooler evenings, enjoy winter tipples like hot apple cider, hot nutella, ginger warmer & gluhwein (mulled wine). The team at September 18 has built a huge fan base thanks to its popular North Lakes restaurant and now the rest of the region can experience its unique take on traditional Malaysian & Chinese favourites. Whilst specifically catering to vegans and vegetarians, the food is just so delicious, even carnivores will be won over! Come on Mate! Gourmet Japanese
For nearly a decade Come on Mate! has been satisfying carnivores and vegans alike, with delicious and healthy Japanese cuisine including everything from sushi to Teriyaki and Agedashi Tofu, Gyoza, Japanese Curry & Japanese Cold Noodles (perfect for Summer in Queensland).
