EVENT CINEMAS: 11 Flicks to get that movie fix in February!

The curtain raising line up this month at EVENT CINEMAS provides a multitude of reasons to grab your mates for a night out.  This month sees the release of much anticipated blockbuster releases, but there are a series of special events and limited edition promotions celebrating everything from love to sport and everything else in between.

February releases include:

Sunday 3 February – Super Bowl LIII: shutterstock_203972608Don’t settle for watching it on a tiny TV screen, visit Event Cinemas and experience one of the largest sporting events in the world LIVE via ESPN and on the big screen at participating sites across the country.

Thursday 7 February – On the Basis of Sex: ON THE BASIS OF SEX(1).jpgThe story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, her struggles for equal rights and what she had to overcome in order to become a U.S. Supreme Court Justice. See it first at the special Chicks Pick advance screening on Wednesday 6 February.

Sunday 10 February – The Lego Movie 2: Get ready for even bricker adventures with the special master builder Emmet Brickowski and his best friends in The Lego Movie 2. See the film a month before its nationally release at Event Cinemas’ Bricktastic screening on February 10. The special event will include pre-show Lego themed activities.

Wednesday 13 February – Chicks at the Flicks:  Join Event Cinemas for the first Chicks at the Flicks screening for 2019, the hilarious remake, What Men Want.  Every ticket receives a bonus gift bag on the night so come and enjoy a well-deserved night out with the girl gang and book tickets for the squad today.

Thursday 14 February – What Men Want: nullInspired by the Nancy Meyers’ hit romantic comedy What Women Want, the film follows a woman (Taraji P. Henson) who is boxed out by the male sports agents in her profession, but gains an unexpected edge over them when she develops the ability to hear men’s thoughts.

Thursday 14 February – Happy Death Day 2 U: happy death dayStuck in a time loop, college student Tree Gelbman must die over and over again to save her friends from a psychotic masked killer.

Thursday 21 February – Stan & Ollie: Laurel and Hardy, the world’s most famous comedy duo, attempt to reignite their film careers as they embark on what becomes their swan song – a grueling theatre tour of post-war Britain.

Want to catch up on all of the exciting 2019 Oscars films in the cinemas before they win big on the special night? Event Cinemas is screening films like Bohemian Rhapsody, A Star Is Born, Mary Poppins Returns, Vice, Green Book and more from Jan 24 onwards.
