But this time it’s for his charity the KIDS Foundation. KIDS Ambassador Justin Lacko and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here world record holder joins Camp TANGO, an injury recovery camp run by the KIDS Foundation for children and young adults who have experienced horrific injury or burns that have changed their lives.
Camp TANGO (Together Achieving New Goals and Opportunities) will head to Melbourne CBD this weekend to give some deserving young people a city experience.
Camp TANGO is time away for children and young adults to be supported during their recovery from injuries caused in horrific circumstances like car accidents, fires, dog attacks, crime and domestic violence. Camp participants are accompanied by experienced staff and volunteers including psychologists, nurses and ambassadors who engage in many fun activities over theweekend. These camps provide opportunities for individuals to gain confidence, set goals and meet others who have experienced similar injuries and life events.
Justin Lacko is delighted to take time out of his busy schedule to spend the weekend with camp participants and show themwhat his hometown has to offer. Participants of Camp TANGO will have the chance to say thank you to some of the KIDS Foundation’s supporting companies based in Melbourne and visit local attractions including, Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium, take in a Crown Gold Class movie experience and an AFL match at Marvel Stadium.
“This is the first opportunity I’ve had since coming out of the jungle to attend a KIDS Foundation camp and share their message of empowering children to prevent and recover from injuries” said Mr Lacko.
