In theory, the rice spring roll innovations are a good idea, however in some cases, struggle to enjoy some of them.  The jury is still out – the error may have been in taking a frugal approach to the dipping sauce with a mass blanket selection of chilli for all three.  Otherwise,  together with the classic banh mi, makes for a good lunch hustle through modern city life.

Roast Duck, Barramundi and Garlic Prawn options failed with the chilli sauce and I suspect that you shouldn’t overlook them if accompanied with fish or hoi sin sauce.

It’s more French baguette appearance is a reminder of the vulgar history in how this crowd favorite came to be.  It’s deceptive in appearance with the pork and crackling barely visible amongst the mountain heap of salad.  A symphony of spice, saltiness, sweetness and aromatic crunch from the crackling, carrot and fresh coriander release bursts of freshness with waves of heat in the extra chilli requested.

7 min wait on a slow day, 15 for a busy one, friendly staff serving and cranking out the buzzers and taking orders, it’s a great one to come back to.
