RNB Fridays: The Old School playlist

Australia’s leading promoters (Illusive Presents & Frontier Touring) and biggest radio network (Hit Network) have joined forces to create the country’s most talked-about concert series in a generation.

Since its inception in 2016, RNB Fridays Live has endured an absolutely meteoric rise to already become the largest music event series in Australia. By its third year in 2018, the RNB Fridays Live brand was selling out stadiums nationally and moving over 180,000 tickets across five shows. There has simply never been anything like it in the market.

The brainchild of Illusive Presents and Frontier Touring, RNB Fridays Live capitalised on the hype of the Hit Network’s weekly RNB Fridays radio show which launched in 2014. Just like its namesake, the concert series puts together the most notable and iconic RNB and hip-hop artists from across eras and generations. The result is an all-day spectacle of back-to-back party jams and the biggest block party the country has ever seen.

Jackson and Australian fans will come ‘Together Again’ and it’s the reunion you don’t want to miss. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of her ARIA #1 album Rhythm Nation (cert. 2x Platinum) Jackson will deliver all-encompassing jams from ‘Nasty’ and ‘That’s The Way Love Goes’ (#1 ARIA Platinum) through to ‘All For You’ (#5 ARIA Platinum) and ‘Scream (featuring Michael Jackson)’ (#2 ARIA Gold).

KERI HILSON – Want more? Keri Hilson’s ‘Got Your Back’. The multi-award-winning singer-songwriter will bring her slick ‘Energy’ to the RNB Fridays Live stage. Hilson will keep audiences on their feet with slamming hits ‘Knock You Down’(ARIA Gold), ‘Buyou’ and the colossal ARIA #1 Timbaland anthem ‘The Way I Are’.

J-KWON – Guaranteed to bring audiences to their feet is notorious party starter J-Kwon who made waves with the 2004 essential RNB jam, ‘Tipsy’. Make sure you’ve got your crew together when it’s pumping!

FATMAN SCOOP – RNB Fridays Live International President of Party, Fatman Scoop (‘Be Faithful’) makes his fourth return to RNB Fridays Live in 2019. Hosting all five shows and keeping crowds on their toes as the ultimate hype man.

BRANDY – Brandy rose to fame in the ’90s with a string of hit tracks including Have You Ever?and The Boy Is Mine which achieved Platinum status in Australia and remained in the Hot 100 chart for 13 weeks. She was the MYSTERY ACT revealed just last month after the original lineup was announced!

JASON DERULO – ‘Whatcha Say’? You heard it here first, the name which demands to be sung – Jason Derulo – will be heading to RNB Fridays Live 2019. Turning up the heat with tunes like ‘In My Head’ (7x ARIA Platinum), ‘Don’t Want To Go Home’ (5x ARIA Platinum), ‘Want To Want Me’ (2x Platinum) and ‘Ridin Solo’ (3x ARIA Platinum) – Australia, get ready to ‘Wiggle’!

BLACK EYED PEAS – With three ARIA #1 albums (14x certified ARIA Platinum), 15 top 10 ARIA singles (eight #1!) and seven GRAMMY Awards under their belt, the Black Eyed Peas will be lighting up the RNB Fridays Live stage – Australia, get ready to ‘Pump It’! 50 CENT – One of the most indelible and influential figures of hip hop from our time, 50 Cent will bring ‘Disco Inferno’ to crowds across the country at RNB Fridays Live 2019. Turning dancefloors into the hottest club in town, 50 Cent will be delivering bump and grind goodness with hits ‘Candy Shop (Feat. Olivia)’, ‘Just A Lil Bit’, ‘P.I.M.P (Feat. Snoop Dogg)’, ‘Ayo Technology (Feat. Justin Timberlake)’ and ‘21 Questions (Feat. Nate Dogg)’.
