The final 13 artists, representing songwriters from ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC and WA, will descend upon Sydney’s iconic Factory Theatre for the Grand Final of The Songwriting Prize on Thursday 28th November.

Australia’s only mental health songwriting competition, now in its 4th year, continues to grow whilst uniting and healing music-loving communities.

Curated by registered not-for-profit charity, Listen Up Music, the event is part of a portfolio that includes Mental Health Music Courses, storytelling workshops and public speakers, all designed to reduce the number of cases of mental ill-health in the wider community.

After sold out regional Semi Finals in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, the Grand Final promises a bumper crowd as Sgt. Hulka (WA), This New Light (QLD), Vendulka (ACT), Dave Wells (NSW), Velvet Bloom (VIC), Corbelle (WA), Tasha (QLD), Just Flare (TAS), Benjamin Trillado (VIC), Ashrae (NSW), Brandon Poletti (WA), Colie (QLD) and LIV LI (ACT) look to take out the overall prize pool of over $10,000.

All entrants entered songs that fit the theme of “Songs that Heal”, with the competition showing listeners that they are not alone in their mental health struggles, and offering artists unique opportunities to perform and ultimately win money-can’t-buy experiences from Audio Technica, JBL/Harman and Studios 301 to name a few.

The Grand Final will also coincide with the worldwide release of The Songwriting Prize album, across all streaming on digital providers, which has had huge success over the past 3 years.
