Kicking off Friday 6th December and running for 18-days Santa’s Wonderland is now a firm family ‘must do’ for South Australians.  Off the back of three successful years, the event is back this December and bigger than ever.  With over 70% of attendees consecutively returning the event has captured the hearts of families.

As Adelaide’s biggest Christmas event preparing for the extravaganza takes nearly three weeks, and over 170 casual staff are needed to bring the show to life. This includes Fairies, Elves, Snow Queens, Princesses, Penguins, ride and game operators and of course the big red man himself (or four)! Live stage shows are performed during every session.  The pantomime interactive Search for Santa Show will have kids on the edge of their seats as they go on a festive journey around the North Pole to find Santa, who has forgotten how many sleeps there are until Christmas! The live theatre experience includes Christmas carols favourites, heaps of dancing, silliness and of course the chance to help save Christmas!

Taking up over 10,000 square metres of space in the Goyder Pavilion, Adelaide Showground, the event is themed into three main zones – Traditional Family Christmas, Candyland and Ice Wonderland.

Each three-hour session is jam-packed with magical fun and adventures family rides including – dragon wagon coaster, dodgem cars, tobogganing, ice skating, ball crawl and bouncing castles. The 450 sqm Ice Skating Rink and 8-metre-high toboggan slide is a huge hit and sees many a family take flight down the icy slide or tackle the ice rink in pairs. The rides, ice skating and tobogganing are unlimited and adopting a theme park model style pricing, where the ticket price includes all of the main attractions has won the hearts of South Australian wallets, particularly at Christmas. The nostalgia of the Christmas Pageant continues with five floats displayed at the event, once again capturing the hearts and cameras of thousands of SA families.
