Post Melbourne cup it was great to head out to Warwick Farm racecourse which is home to Sydney South wests’s only 5 star hotel (William Inglis). A beautiful garden terrace setting it was like stepping into the set of Downtown Abbey or something. Make sense since this property has ties to Sofitel.
‘Sunday Sessions’ are pretty new around these parts with live music and 50% off on bubbles which is dangerous but very welcome.
It’s all about the slow cooked meats in the gourmet barbecue offering that is central to this weekend sunday roast while lounging at the cabanas and sun loungers with a panoramic acreage hugging the entire estate.
That sticky glaze is hard to describe. It’s a messy and delightful feed.
I don’t get out this way much so it was so unexpected and was nothing like I imagined. Great weekend escape.
