Having been on the Sydney social scene for almost 20 years the socialite come editor has attended more than his fair share of events.

Here are his highlights with commentary of 2019:

Electric Gardens Festival

“My first festival ever. Held on Australia Day at The Centennial Parklands. As you can see I totally rocked a festival vibe; I wore a cap.”

Hendricks Gin Event

“Give me a gin martini and I’m sold.  This was a very chic event held at the Sofitel in Darling Harbour, did I mention the gin martinis?”

Youfoodz Cooking Class

“Another first for me; a cooking lesson. Held at the Thrive360 event space at The Grounds of Alexandria. From now on I’ll only cook with a cocktail in my hand.”

Bulgari Aperitivo Evening

“It is here, where I met Crystal Carrington! She’s was the face of luxury jewellery, me the face of bubble tea; it was an obvious connection.”

Panama “Snow” House Launch

“Presented by Canadian Club, we obviously love that. The Bondi Beach venue was transformed into a winter wonderland with fake snow and ski slopes. I’ve never had more desire to build a snowman.”

Michael Hill’s 40th Birthday

“The beautiful evening drinking champagne was only topped by not only having an audience with Sir Michael, but him gifting us all with a piece designed by Lady Christine. And don’t think I don’t tell that story every time I’m complimented on it.”

Wild Turkey Dinner

“What’s better than a sit down dinner a Saké? The evening being hosted by Wild Turkey, that’s what!”

Downton Abbey Movie Premiere

“I mean it’s Downton Abbey the movie. Was anything else really going to top this? I even wore a hat for the occasion.”

Orana Pop-Up Launch

“The best dining experience of the decade! 22 courses, each paired with its own wine and hosted by our friends from South Australia. The bar has been raised.”

Disaronno Wears Diesel

“Blue denim is the only colour I wear, so I was thrilled when I heard Diesel was designing the bottle.. ..now my bottle of Disaronno I keep in my closet doesn’t look out of place.”

Gwyn Olsen Dinner

“Seriously, dinner at Botanic House hosted by Cellar Masters who exclusively served Gwyn Olsen wines – it’s a tuff gig!”

Zephyr Bar X Maison 21G Launch

“Rooftop party, cocktails, fragrance; what a way to welcome Summer!”

The Annual Sunlight Ball

“The Star Event Centre transformed into a magical event for The Sunlight Ball hosted by the Wiping Tears Charity. The event was a star-studded affair, highlights included a performance from the brilliant Timomatic.

OneTeaspoon Store Opening

“Rarely do I get the chance to ‘get me cool on’ but I feel I did at Bondi’s newest store.”

Flickerfest Launch

“Another highlight was the launch of the 29th Flickerfest short film festival at Bondi Icebergs Dining Room and Bar. Never have I seen so many celebs in one place.”

Jimmy Choo – Urban Hero Launch

“Fun night parting with my mates Marvin Osifo and Timomatic while we enjoyed a epic performance from Fatman Scoop at Beta Bar & Gallery.”

Taylors Summer House of Shiraz

“Boated to a mansion at Point Piper, greeted by Will Stewart on the dock, swiftly taken though to taste some wines… and I think we have a winner!”

Cosette Christmas Event

“Sydney’s social scene gathered at Cosette’s boutique at The Rocks for champagne, macaroons and most importantly some last minute Christmas shopping.”

Amazon Prime Party

“Held in a custom marquee erected at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, Amazon Prime hosted an amazing event with the best catering I’ve ever experienced. I had everything from chips with gravy to lobster rolls.”

Maui Jim

“Maui Jim always do the best events.  So an afternoon trying on sunglasses while drinking champagne on a super yacht, it’s kinda what we’ve come to expect.”
