A quick scan of some of the established and a focus on emerging designers and debut collections this season.
The fun side of the French house’s basic black Terminator 2 dominated collection. Splashes of blue, leopard on purple, heat map prints will be the wild signatures of the season.
Boy scout park rangers, farmer overalls and flannel given a polish with impeccable tailoring and bold rendering.
The Israeli house uses easy-on-the-eye earth tones with oversized sleeves and chunky lapels, upsized suits and elongated shapes which have become his signature.
Soft tailored bottoms against puffed up torsos, layer and off-kilter proportioning.
The men’s looks toggled between deliberate misshapings and warping of familiar silhouettes. Hooks on collars and off shoulder focal points were a recurrent theme.
Pleated pants, sleeveless knitwear, high rise turtle necks and poncho silhouettes were standout ideas but what was apparent unlike many other shows was the full use of the man’s acessorising tool belt. Hats, shades, man bags should be fully exercised in all forms.
An exploration of wind capes and ponchos styled and tailored in different shapes and gender neutral interpretation. Movement and dramatic flow is the essence of the JW Anderson autumn winter look.
The gloom of winter is off set by colour – lots of it! Sports jersey colour schemes of your code and teams are encouraged. Layers and high waist against overhanging sleeves define this look.

Total Chaos. Utter disarray. No logic, let yourself go. Bold colours and as much as we wanted to get on board, the frumpy juxtaposition of grunge denim against 50s op shop leftover silhouettes sends a positive message when assembling the season's look. . . #fashionweek #milan #menswear #readytowear #pretaporter #nextinfashion #projectrunway #fashion #lookbook #ootd #gucci #janetjackson #rnbfridays #michaeljackson #darlingharbour #brisbaneevents #baiatheitalian #arethafranklin #jenniferhudson #movietrailer #fashionblog #movieblog #foodblog #sydneyeats #sydneyfashion #brisbanegigs #sydneyrestaurants
