The walk up and down the usually bustling streets of Sydney’s central business district was like a funeral procession during Monday’s first lunch hour since lockdown.

Doors were closed, signs were up inviting customers to watch this space for new menu and delivery services, those that were open saw shorter than usual queues, tables and chairs stacked to the side with full menus available for takeaway only.

City of Sydney restaurants are invited to include themselves in the local lists being provided and championed by Member for Sydney M.P. Hon. Alex Greenwich in the ‘Support your local restaurants’ initiative.
