Following the COVID-19 lockdown, Sydney’s top skincare clinic is announcing their highly anticipated reopening today. The Dermal Diary, best known for their signature facials, highly effective skin care products and expert advice and care from one of Australia’s leading skin therapists, Isabella Loneragan, will be reopening with a few changes to abide by COVID-19 government regulations.
Sydneysiders who have been counting the days until their next facial can now book appointments for one of The Dermal Diary’s signature facials. All first time clients must attend a highly specialised consultation and skin analysis so the facial can be tailored specifically to your needs. The Original Facial Experience is a 30 minute facial that not only feels luxurious but delivers results you can see (price: $200). This treatment is complemented by an original Dermal Diary massage designed to invigorate blood flow and circulation to foster a clearer complexion. Addressing both collagen and elastin depletion by utilising a powerful eye-lifting mask. This medical-grade mask is infused with epidermal and dermal firming technologies to lift the delicate skin around this area.
Alternatively, The Signature Facial Experience is an immersive 45-minute treatment that blends bespoke skin analysis with the latest in skin science, along with holistic massage therapy to improve cell-turnover (price $250). This facial is supercharged by cutting-edge ultrasonic technology, which uses powerful low-frequency waves to effectively and gently boost collagen, elastin and reduce fine lines, and increase the penetrative power of the vitamin infusion. This treatment culminates with a focus on the eyes, incorporating a hyper-penetrative eye lifting treatment to visibly firm and lift the delicate skin surrounding the upper cheeks and crows feet. The Signature Dermal Diary facial incorporates acclaimed methods from internationally renowned massage expert, Yakov Gershkovich, serving to aid skin elasticity, proven to improve lymphatic drainage and stimulating cell turnover.
Then of course there is the Intrinsic Facial (price $300), which boasts ultrasonic infusion technology and Facial Sculpting Massage. The treatment also includes Buccal Massage, which is an inner mouth massage – Meghan Markle’s go to facial. Isabella is the only skin therapist in Australia who is trained in these techniques, which she learned during the Paris trip with skincare guru Yakov Gershkovich.
To ensure the health and safety of all Dermal Diary clients, the team will be spacing appointments to reduce congestion and conduct a complete COVID sanitation of the room in between clients. All clients will be asked to complete a COVID questionnaire before visiting. The Dermal Diary team will wear masks in common areas. Masks can be worn in the treatment room at the request of clients.
Gloves will be worn for treatments that are already regulated for and the team will be practicing even more regular hand washing, as this has been endorsed by the beauty industry as best practice, as gloves protect staff from cross contamination, whereas washing hands regularly will protect both clients and staff. Only one therapist will be in a room at a time and The Dermal Diary will be maintaining their normal hygiene practices that are certified by the Health Inspector every year.
Clients will only be accepted into the clinic by appointment. This includes making bookings and buying products. The Dermal Diary has set up online “product pick up” option to allow clients to purchase online and collect instead of coming into the clinic to buy these products. The Dermal Diary already has completed a Clean Touch Certificate – an industry specific best practice guideline.
The Dermal Diary Founder Isabella Loneragan commented: “We are so thrilled to be reopening the clinic after this tough period. It’s been a challenging time for ours and many other businesses and we look forward to welcoming back our clients for treatments and in person consultations.”
The Dermal Diary staff have undergone infection control training. The team will ask anyone displaying COVID-19 symptoms to reschedule their treatment for when they’ve been cleared.
