
At tonight’s opening show of Afterpay Australian Fashion Week, Michael Lo Sordo debuted Hendrick’s very first foray into ready to wear, with a piece crafted to celebrate the deliciously super premium gin.

Inspired by the whimsical nature and playful fantasy of the iconic Hendrick’s Gin brand, fashion lovers got a first look at the opulent gown as part of Michael Lo Sordo’s 10th anniversary showcase opening 2023’s event, making for a truly unforgettable runway moment.
The Hendrick’s dress, takes cues from the decadent gin brand’s iconic bottle, with diamond-shaped panels inspired by the classic shape of the Hendrick’s Gin emblem. Boasting a sleek silhouette, the romantic minimalist dress is a mesmerizing blend of elegance and sophistication, paying homage to the allure and botanical wonders that define the world-famous gin.

The dress effortlessly drapes down from the delicately cinched waistline, creating a fluid movement that is both curious and enchanting. Crafted with French lace, the timeless masterpiece showcases the perfect balance of elegance and allure whilst remaining playful. Celebrating Michael’s 10th Year anniversary, the piece formed part of an opulent and elegant collection.

Adding theatre to the presentation, were a Hendrick’s flashmob waiter fleet, delighting guests surrounding the runway with the perfect Hendrick’s slightly wet gin martini with a twist, providing a kick off moment to the show.
Spotted at the runway show, Isabel Lucas, Nick Kyrgios, Zac and Jordan Stenmark, and at the Hendrick’s Gin parlor were, Kate Waterhouse, Mimi Elashiry, Holly Titheridge who enjoyed one of the most unusual signature Hendrick’s Gin cocktails including the Hendrick’s Haute Couture, inspired by Michael Lo Sordo’s Italian heritage and Australia’s love for coffee.
Hendrick’s Gin will continue to provide delectable drinking opportunities for fashion fans for the remainder of AAFW pouring cocktails inspired by and exclusive to AAFW through to the 18th. The space will be accessible to all members of the public, not just AAFW ticket holders, proving not only ticket holders can experience Fashion Week.
