FitSpo All-Stars: Melbourne Fitness Show meet & greet wishlist!

The Melbourne Fitness Show completes the national schedule of events after two epic weekends in Sydney and Brisbane earlier this year.  The creme de la creme of innovation, fitness education, technology, health foods, sports nutrition, group fitness and fitness apparel will be on show across two areas at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Stars come out to play on TAB Epsom Day

The Australian Turf Club’s TAB Epsom Day welcomed the Everest Carnival’s biggest day of Group 1 racing at Royal Randwick, with three elite races worth almost $4 million in prizemoney, headlined by the $1 million TAB Epsom Handicap (1600m).  Two weeks out from the world’s richest race on turf, the $14 million The TAB Everest, the Group 2 $500,000 Bisley Workwear Premiere Stakes featured several of The TAB Everest runners including Osborne Bulls and Classique Legend.

Dubbed as the day for racing purists, the Australian Turf Club will welcome star milliner Ann Shoebridge and a variety of sports stars, including NRL, GWS and Sydney Swift players.   Racegoers can enjoyed free festivities at Pony Palms with top DJs, access to the TAB Country Club and renowned party band Furnace and the Fundamentals after the last race in the Theatre of the Horse.

The official Disaronno® wears Diesel cocktail

As many know blue denim is the only colour I allow myself to wear, so I was thrilled when I heard Diesel was designing the bottle.  Now my bottle of Disaronno I keep in my closet doesn’t look out of place!  The launch of this epic collaboration of two Italian brand titans was such a nice event, the space, the vibe, the crowd – Belissimo!

The Saronno Italian liquer, Disaronno® is constantly changing its look, and in it’s latest incarnation, steps in to classic signature denim textile in a limited edition collaboration with Breganze fashion label, Diesel.

The luxurious amber liquer forms the base of many popular cocktails and potions, and is a hit on the rocks with its almond distinction using a recipe that has remained unchanged since the 16th Century.

Disaronno wears Diesel is a limited edition bottle wrapped in an eye-grabbing denim pattern, representing Diesel’s signature fabric.

SoCal vibes came to Sydney last night with the VIP launch of Santa Monica at Pier One kicking off in true LA style.

In partnership with Pier One Sydney Harbour, Los Angeles’ premier beachside city has completely transformed the iconic harbour pier. This immersive activation will run for six weeks, with a curated menu of SoCal-style food and beverages, live cooking demonstrations from renowned Santa Monica chefs, chefs table dinners, free wellness and fitness experiences, an organic mini- farmers market and live music sunset sessions.

It’s a spice rum blend in honour of a Hawaiian ex-Navy vet his tattoo designs that were popular with World War II soldiers and sailors.

The rich tapestry of characters of Downton Abbey offers much to play with for the teams in costume, hair and makeup design.

At the same time, the 1920s color pallette throughout the television show’s tenure would never see a lady of the house in red or pink.   The cuts and flow of garments enhance a scene setting the stage for a character’s entrance and exit and adds to the script unspoken dialogue that can be quite compelling.

The Downton Effect: A sphere of influence

The impact of 6 seasons and its 52 episodes of Downton Abbey still leaves an imprint in today’s television landscape.   190,000 tweets, 24 million impressions in its final season with an estimated fanbase of 120 million worldwide.  Its accolades include 11 Emmy wins, 2 British Academy of Film & Television Awards, 3 Screen Actors Guilds Awards and a Producers Guild Award.  So there’s no question why the release today is one that’s fills the void of many since it ended 4 years ago and has the makings of a blockbuster success.   It’s UK premiere in Leicester Square brought together cast members onto the red carpet after 6 years demonstrating the show’s continued sphere of influence.
