It’s not the best Chinese, especially when places in the neighbouring surrounds have set the bar for budget takeaway and quick lunch options so high. What’s baffling are the repeated return visits just wanting this place to work for me. It has it’s moments but the general theme is hit and miss. Sauces can be sometimes bland, seasonings overly salted but when they get it right depending on the day, it’s actually okay.
It’s great here, it’s quick, its friendly, its sort of no-frills but not, but more importantly it’s literally next to the overpass that takes you from the fringe of Chinatown into Darling Harbour – a regular trail that’s walked by the team.
