Founded in 2011, Parlour Group draws inspiration from the finer aspects of the North American spirit to provide Australians with premium hospitality experiences in four convenient Sydney-wide locations. The Flying Squirrel, a small 50 seat tapas bar, was the first venue opened by Brody Petersen – owner of Parlour Group. This was quickly followed by The Stuffed Beaver Dining Parlour in 2012, a 50 seat Canadian style sports bar (both no longer in the portfolio).
Inner west Sunday sessions are in full swing after the launch last weekend of ReccoLab’s L’ Aperitivo Italiano Sunset Sessions. It’s bitter and twisted with the unveiling of their Aperitivi cocktail menu, designed in collaboration with Campari Australia.
Absolutely stunning interpretations of French and Japanese flavours in immaculately plated dishes! Delivering in spades, premium pulled slow cooked beef fills the gyoza (dumpling) coupled with a carrot puree and red bean!! Outrageous! But soooooo good!! .
The Crab Omelette is fluffy and potent with the bonito mayo and cheese. The popping bursts of sweet corn would have been made this the favorite had it not been for the towering Yuzu Soy Salmon Gateau with poached grapes, nori mayo and fresh fig. Divine and totally not what we were expecting for a Sunday brunch!
It’s a conscious play to please the cosmopolitan palate of Rhodes and it delivers!

Checked out the new home of Inner West staple – ThaiRiffic Newtown – still working the magic, same wow factor dishes, same warm friendly service and more central to the main action of King Street! “We have spent 15 years creating and holding a strong bond with Newtown diners with unique combinations of fusion”

The Exchange Hotel is back! Balmain boasts more pubs per square metre than any other Sydney suburb and that competitiveness previously forced The Exchange to retreat in defeat.
Using iron bark and the wood from fruit trees, this distinct flavoring from the woodfire charcoal grill has done things to the Duck and Beef Cheek that my taste buds have never experienced before. Every dish from starter to desserts kept building on each other.
