Bathory Begins – a bloody funny production for teens

Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP), the national youth theatre company and The Joan’s Q Theatre, Penrith present the world premiere of BATHORY BEGINS by award-winning playwrights Emme Hoy and Gretel Vella. Directed by Rowan Bate, the show will run from 11-21 September at The Joan, Penrith.

Comedy Hypnosis Show: Le Salon Grand – Palais Royale, Katoomba

Hypnotist, Wayne Donnelly will be weaving his magic with Blue Mountains volunteers as he puts them under his spell to become the stars of his Comedy Hypnosis Show exploring the power of the the unconscious mind.

“Venues and audiences love the show as I have travelled around Australia entrancing audiences everywhere. And I’ll be bringing new routines and a new audience experience with me” Wayne said.  “This is not the type of show where you will end up clucking like a chicken or barking like a dog…  …that’s a cliché from the old days, although some audience members ask for it still”.   Audience members from recent shows will agree with that.

Western Sydney set to host bumper series of major events

Over the next nine weeks, Western Sydney will host more than six major events including Kidtopia, AUS-X Open, the inaugural MotorWorld Sydney, World Time Attack Challenge, NSW Golf Championships and Coates Hire Sydney 500.

“More people than ever before are coming to Western Sydney to enjoy the wealth of attractions, world-class restaurants and jam packed major events calendar set amongst the unique flora and fauna,” said Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events, Stuart Ayres,  “From free outdoor family events like Kidtopia at Parramatta Park to the chance to ride the Western Sydney wave at Wet’n’Wild Prospect, there really is something for everyone to enjoy.”
