Rising 270m into the air, SkyPoint Climb is Australia’s highest external building climb and provides unparalleled 360-degree views of the Gold Coast and beyond.

The Gold Coast’s most iconic attraction has unveiled a $450,000 refurbishment of its Observation Deck and restaurant, revealing a new and improved dining and entertainment experience, complete with the best views the city has to offer.

It revealed its new-look Observation Deck this week and relaunched its cafe and bar, now called SkyPoint bistro + bar.  The new contemporary design was created by Brisbane based Daarc Architect and Interiors, who sought to redefine the Observation Deck to a chic, elegant and relaxed experience for both locals and visitors.

Skypoint.002Guests can stroll around the deck taking in the 360-degree views of the Gold Coast taking in th endless stretch of golden sand beaches and the green hills of the Gold Coast Hinterland by day,  and city lights by night, with a raised seating area in the middle and comfortable lounge chairs on the lower level of the deck to maximise the views.

SkyPoint bistro + bar will be launching an all new a la carte menu in time for summer and tastings plates which include mouth-watering tapas style dishes. Live music by popular local artists can be enjoyed every Friday and Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

Visitors to SkyPoint can also enjoy the city skyline by night on Australia’s highest external building climb with all new Night Climbs launched in September. Climb day or night from $75.

MT21353Multilingual climb leaders who are fluent in Mandarin and English accompany groups and will be held every Thursday to Sunday.  While climbs are held several times a day, seven days a week, this will be the first time guests from China will be able enjoy the experience with a dedicate Mandarin-speaking climb leader.

MD3084279 (1)The new climb leaders, Rachel Wang and Clare Ren get the enviable job of taking guests to the highest point on the Gold Coast for breathtaking views with some adrenalin along the way and insight into the history of the Gold Coast.

“Our Chinese visitors represent a significant proportion of SkyPoint’s overall visitation each year, so we are continuing to find ways to make their visit more enjoyable,” said SkyPoint’s General Manager Sales, Annette Pearce,

SkyPoint Observation Deck will host Chinese New Year celebrations starting on 9 February, including Chinese-inspired menu items, as well as a pop up restaurant from 16 to 18 February. The Mandarin-speaking climbs will be held every Thursday to Sunday at 3.20pm.
