Masterchef favorite and abstract culinarian, Reece Hignell has teamed up with Gelatissimo to launch three new flavors that constitute the “Deluxe Range” now available in all 44 stores nationwide!
“Gelatissimo and I share the same philosophy when it comes to fresh, artisanal desserts using natural ingredients, so it’s a pleasure to be working with them” says Reece. He made quite an impression with Nigella Lawson, Gordon Ramsay and Prince Charles during his tenure on Masterchef.
Reece brings the thought provoking flair to Gelatissimo that wowed judges when serving up his basil sorbet with pink peppercorn meringue and cucumber lemon verbena sorbet with yoghurt mousse. It’s just the rejuvenation the classic Calabrian gelato range needs as the temperatures start to soar.
“I wanted to create a decade, luxurious gelato that would appeal to all Aussies by combining classic flavors with local ingredients” says Reece. The Choc Dipped Strawberries uses real homegrown chunks of strawberries in the creamy gelato body with ripples of milk and white chocolate.
The Wicked Double Choc Brownie is one that will resonate with many dessert addicts and chocolate lovers. Ripples of chocolate in the soft, elastic and slow-to-melt milkiness body interposed with chunks of fudge brownies turning it into a texture wonderland.
“The smooth and creamy academia gelato forms the perfect base” says Reece in describing his Golden Macadamia Blondie, with “rich caramel swirls and golden blondie [chunks] tossed generously through:.
The gelato flavors are direct, hard, and fast, then melt away clean, essentially at the core of why many in Australia, Philippines, Singapore, Saudie Arabia, Kuwait, China (and soon) Bangladesh and India have had such a long love affair with this Calabrian style.
The first three flavors have now been released with another three to follow in the coming months.
