A salute to Sydney Beer Week

Home » A salute to Sydney Beer Week

In a solemn message to fans and partners of Sydney Beer Week (SBW) came the devastating news of this year’s event being cancelled.   And so in keeping that tradition this year until it’s regrouping and return we honour its eight year run in the way they have asked with the organiser’s optimistic end note.

“We ask  that you do your bit and go explore, learn and enjoy our local beer producers, their friends and fellow makers who make Sydney great…  …simply go have a beer and enjoy the things that make beer in Sydney great.” – D.P. & J.C.

This weekend, we stopped by Endeavour Tap Room on the way back from the Dappertude event as we pay tribute to the weekend that would have been as we visit the only microbrewery, this side of the city at The Rocks…

While one window in beer closes, another one opens as the show goes on for Endeavour Tap Rooms with its latest summer series of ‘Smokin Sunday Sessions’ going back to basics with a classic pairing of proteins cooked up in the smoker to enjoy with their signature brews.

Smokin’ Sunday Sessions – $35 per person:  Chef’s favourite meats from the smoker, think grain-fed Black Angus beef brisket, pulled pork, wild kangaroo & pork sausage

The smell of earthy, herbal, and citrusy aromas fill the air and the deceptive front area leads to a multi level garden, before the alluring render flavoured air from the meat smoker reels you in.  Knocking back the signature paddle this summer with a classic BBQ smoker which is a new Sunday session that kicks on through the summer!

A look back:

The name change in 2017 was reflective of the new vision Dave Phillips had for Sydney Beer Week previously known as ‘Sydney Craft Beer Week’.   Though it was cancelled this year, the promise of its return is imminent.
