Ma Chim Thai: Eat outside the box

There’s a new appreciation we’re finding with restaurants as this Western Sydney (Riverstone) venue adapted to changes as seats are turned, limits on the number of patrons entering and busier phone lines change the nature of the experience.

As such, studying the interiors and shells of ambiance has turned into a bit of a game in our quest of dining exploration, trying to imagine what it was like at the venue when dine-in wasn’t illegal.

Every inch of the takeaway containers is packed to the brim of entagling Pad Thai noodles with chunks of beef all throughout in a bittersweet symphony of fish sauce, dried shrimp, tamarind and peanut.
