Peer review studies often point out the relationship between the myriad of health outcomes across demoagraphical and socioeconomic levels associating poverty with adverse health outcomes and poor management of chronic disease. On a community level, neighbourhoods with certain characteristics can be mapped out when cross-referencing with health expenditure costs. Generic brands with fillers, processed food products and non-participation in subscription fitness activity is an easy choice when working on a tight budget. And that’s fine, we should always work with what we have and live within our means, but it doesn’t always have to mean, you have to have the expensive devices and cryotherapy session to live your healthy best life. Like I’ve always said, it all comes back to mindset, and there is heaps you can do:

Cheap Healthcare Providers

This is the first, and most important, place to begin. You can’t underestimate the importance of regular check-ups. You can easily find an affordable dentist so you can see where you’re going wrong with your oral health. Being healthy is about maintaining. And this means that we’ve got to get into the habit of regular check-ups, with our dentist, or our doctor.  Taking time for yourself and listening to your body doesn’t cost a thing either.

A Cheap Healthy Diet

You don’t have to go to the farmer’s markets to get the benefit of a full scale organic healthy diet. The reality is, that the abundance of vegetables on sale are cheap, and most can be frozen, ready for use in another meal. It’s all about wholefoods. Of course, buying organic is expensive, and if you want to bypass this, you can grow your own vegetables, but also when it comes to things like protein, never underestimate the power of the humble egg. Eggs are nature’s multivitamin and can be used in a variety of settings such as egg fried rice, omelettes, egg salads, etc. Buying meat is more expensive these days, but if you are focused on being healthy, and getting an adequate amount of protein, eggs are the best method because they are easily digestible and you don’t have to spend much at all to truly reap the benefits!

Getting Fit Without a Gym Membership

Everybody has learnt how to work out at home now, but if you found you didn’t benefit, this is where you can start to incorporate a bit more variety into your routines, specifically isometrics. Isometrics is something not spoken about much anymore but is a very great way to gain strength. It’s also such a wonderful way to get the benefits of a workout without actually having to go to the gym. Isometrics means you tense a part of your body, which feels like the equivalent of those last few reps at the gym.

Meditating Via YouTube

We cannot finish up without talking about the benefits of the right YouTube video. There’s a lot out there, but if you want to make a significant difference in your life, you can start meditating or taking part in one of the many hypnotherapy sessions online. It is a wonderful way to learn how to be calm. Of course, we know that YouTube is a wonderful resource on how to eat well and exercise, but it’s also an excellent way to help you develop that mental calmness.

There’s alot of hype and alot of gimmicks out there, good and bad, we’re spoiled for choice. Having these basics in place though puts you steps ahead had you thrown in the towel. Stay real! Stay frugal! Keep at it!
