4 cocktails to try on World Gin Day

Chief mixologist and founder of Gin Lane & Spritz Bar, Grant Collins will be flooding Kensington Street with a day full of celebrations to mark World Gin Day.   From 12pm-5pm sip your Saturday away with the special Happy Hour gin cocktails at Sydney’s home of gin cocktails, Gin Lane.  Then, as the sun sets, make your way to Spritz Bar to enjoy
5-7pm Happy Hour featuring creations showcasing unique and authentic Victorian gins from Patient Wolf Gin Co., Hemp Gin, Lyre’s and Four Pillars.  Prior to Spritz’ Happy Hour, the venue will let drinkers get up close and personal with a “Meet the Makers” gin tasting session from 1-4pm.

The Royal Opera of Covent Garden carries a long tradition of operatic performance spanning more than 260 years in its three theatre spaces.  It houses both The Royal Opera and The Royal Ballet.

The four hour media screening of La Forza del Destino saw one of the world’s greatest tenors paired with one of the most prominent sopranos.   Jonas Kaufmann and Anna Netrebko played two star crossed lovers in an evening of vocal prowess.  The tragedy it charts of love hindered by family feud is not so much the force of destiny as a succession of unlikely coincidences.

The tallest puppet in Australia at Barangaroo this weekend for Vivid Sydney!

When Vivid Sydney kicks off this weekend, the six metre tall puppet installation, ‘Marri Dyin” (‘Great Woman’ in Sydney local language) returns taking centre stage at the Barangaroo waterfront precinct which will be transformed into a magical busland setting entitled, ‘Winter Camp’.

The artistic collaboration brings together the talents of Erth Visual & Physical Inc., Jacob Nash, Mandylights and James Brown. Combining world-class puppetry, mechanics, sound and light, the artwork and performance will be a spectacular showcase of Australian artistic innovation and creativity.
